What Causes Swelling And Lump Like Feeling In Testicles When In Hot Bath?
Question: Hi when in hot bath my ball get swelling or lumpon the sides is this normal.

1. When the testis is immersed in hot bath, vasodilatation occurs. This will lead to loss of heat and testis hardening can be appreciated. This is normal.
2. This dilatation of blood vessels can give a feeling of swelling or lump. This swelling, when pressed will reduce and when exposed to cold will disappear due to vessel constriction, which occurs to avoid loosing heat.
3. Similar to skin blushing in hot conditions and pale appearing in cold conditions. Larger blood vessels in testis give feeling of swelling.
