What Causes Sudden Tingling Sensation And Stiffness In Left Foot?

Question: My husband is 52 years old we were on vacation last week and did a lot walking and he has a sudden onset of tingling needle pricking feeling on the top of his left foot along with stiffness when he tries to move it up and down wards both his mother and sister are both diabetics and he has started to lose weight but has been to the doctors for a yearly physical and their were no problems noted he does smoke a lot and drinks daily doesn't really take care of himself

Could be Diabetic neuropathy. Needs to see a Neurologist

It is possible that your husband may be Diabetic as well.

A condition called Peripheral neuritis can occur commonly, causing tingling and numbed over the hands or feet.

It would be best he sees a Neurologist for this issue.

He can take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg at night for a month to tide over this condition as well as maintain strict blood sugar control with proper diet and exercise.
