Sir,

Head drilling means what we say in hindi chakkar ana .It is like that you are likely to fell down if standing and cannot do any other activity for 1-2 min. This happened if she changes position from sitting to standing , sitting to sleeping ,sleeping to sit on bed.Head drilling not happen if she sits from standing position. This happens for 1-2 min then she continue in that position , then became normal. Not feeling dizzy.

All the symptoms mentioned in point no.3 not happening.

Olsar-H-40 has been prescribed to her recently after her bp was measured 200/100.After continuing with this medication her bp is now 140/90.

For this head drilling the doctor has prescribed stugeron 25 thrice daily. But still then head drilling as I have mentioned happening.

Brief Answer:
Possible medication side effect..

Detailed Answer:

Hello again

Thanks for following up with the needed information.

I strongly suspect the recently prescribed drug olsar-h to be the cause for her issue and can be expected..

This BP medication olsar-H(one of its active ingredient--olmesartan) can cause postural hypotension(i.e sudden decrease in BP on changing posture lie standing, laying down) during the initial few days of treatment and thus the head drilling i.e sense of falling down on standing can be related to this.

Over few days this should resolve on its own when the body adjusts to the drug.Until then she can take stugeron tablet as prescribed for symptomatic relief.

I suggest her also to avoid any sort of rapid postural change.

In case if the symptom persists even after a week or worsens, she may need therapy modification.

Hope this answers your query..If any further concerns, happy to answer..Or else you can close this discussion by rating the answer..

Regards
