Brief Answer:
Possible rare side effect of potassium citrate pill...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX

The use of potassium citrate is rarely associated with presence of the pill in the stool.

Now, the pill contains the active and non-active substances (the non active substance is a base which makes the pill easy to swallow, think of it as filler).

Sometimes, the active substance is absorbed by the body, while the in-active one is unabsorbed. This could happen because the gut it already irritated from absorbing the active potassium component.

But we can't be sure of that just by looking at the tablet. So if this keeps happening for many days. You will probably need to change to another form of potassium. At that point you will need to consult your doctor on finding another pill that is well tolerated by your gut.

All the best!
