What Causes Pale Brown Stool?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jan 2016
Question: I noticed today and yesterday the colour of my stools are pale (very pale brown). The stools are small and soft.

The only change in my diet is I stopped taking sugar and condensed milk about two weeks ago and drink lemon juice with honey and sometimes cinnamon powder.

Otherwise my stools used to be very dark brown and soft sometimes watery.

Do i have to be concerned?

My weight is 70kg, my height is 150cm.

Brief Answer:
No need to be concerned at this time!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this change in the color of your stool and all the disturbing thoughts this has caused you. It is expected for the color of stool to change with changes in diet. As long as you have no other symptoms, there is no reason to be concerned. Just put an eye on this for now and all would be fine. Your weight is somewhat above the expected for your age. If you can drop a further few kilograms, it will be very helpful for your general health.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
