What Causes Painful Swelling In The Foot After Taking Amoxicillin Clavulanate?

Question: O.K., I was taking AMOX-CLAV 125 mg 2X/DAY spaced every 12 hours from XXXXXXX 14-Jan.20th.
On XXXXXXX 19th I developed extreme pain and swelling of my left calf, ankle and foot. Could this be a serious side effect of this anti-biotic?

Swelling and pain in one foot is not a side effect of this antibiotic.
If you would have a side effect from the antibiotic, it would be the first says that you were on it, because the body gets adapted with medicines and gradually has side effects, not more.

On the other side, since the medicine is in your blood, if it was something from it, you would have the swelling in both your legs and not just in one.

I don't know your complete health history, but from what you are telling me, the most important and first things to rule out, you have already done.
