Brief Answer: pain around ribs Detailed Answer: Respected ma,am Hello I have gone through your history . For pain around back under the ribs , i would suggest 1. Please check the area of pain if there is any redness / rashes . as it may be a sign of HERPES ERUPTIONS which can cause pain +/_fever . consult physician if rashes are present. 2. Get your ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN /LOWER CHEST to rule out gall bladder infection (cholecystitis) or pleural collection . get a XRAY CHEST ALSO 3 If above all are normal get a MRI DORSOLUMBAR SPINE TO rule out any intraspinal lesion (like disc herniation/tumor etc ) Thanks Dr Praveen k Nath Director Deptt. of neurosurgery
