What Causes Pain In The Right Breast And Back While Breathing?

Question: I have been having the worst pain in my right breast. Its like sore but it is worse when I take a breath. Sometimes it hurts in to my back

Hi,

In my opinion, you have pain in the chest wall (either muscular pain or Rib pain). The cause could be inflammation or a minor injury. However, breast problem cannot be ruled out.

I suggest pain killers and muscle relaxants for 3-5 days and if there is no relief or the pain is increasing then please get X-Ray of chest and ribs. If you feel any lump in the chest then mammography is advisable.

Do I need to make an appointment with a doctor to get medication? It hurts to take a breath. It's like a muscle that pulls every time I take a breath. I can't think of anything I have done to strain something. I can't hardly take off work to go to a doctor.
