What Causes Pain In Testicles During Intercourse?

For sometime i have had pain in my balls each time i have sex. the pain would typically continue for days after intercourse. (4 to 5 days).
Recently I had been taking ampiclox for a throat infection, but i've also noticed that the pain has significantly subsided. Is there any connection here ?
