What Causes Pain And Pressure In The Chest?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Oct 2017
Question: I ride road bike on weekends approx 30-40 miles. If I get over heated I feel faint. So I have to keep going to keep the breeze on myself. I have learned to cool down in advance before ending ride. While I am changing shoes, putting bike away I seem fine. But almost every time I hyperventilate and especially if I start talking. Once I have Get breathing under control my upper back and some times my chest gets so tight and is painful .
I also start seeing white flashes before it starts .

Brief Answer:
do an ECG and a chest X Ray

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking in HCM

I can understand your concern

In my opinion riding 30-40 miles for subjects in your age is much and i would not reccommend it ,you should reduce the miles.

Your symptoms are related to the effort you are doing and are signs that shows you are exceeding the capacity of your organism.

However do an ECG and a chest X Ray to exclude lung and heart problems. If they come negative than you probably should do a rest for riding.

Please discuss with your doctor for tthe above.

Regards and feel free to ask me again
