What Causes Myocardial Bridging Of The Coronary Arteries?

Question: 63 yrs Male with TMT positive, coronary angiography done Dec 2013 - Non significant Coronary artery disease, Myocardial Bridge, ECG - Ventricular Ectopic, Left Eye Pthisis Bulbi, High Cholestrol- Please suggest what would be the future complications , does he have a heart block or does this Myocardial bridge cause any problem or Left Eye Pthisis cause problem in future, what treatment would you suggest or do require further investigation

Hi,
Welcome.
The arteries supplying blood to the heart (coronary arteries) generally are present over the surface of heart. If any blood vessel is present inside the muscle of heart it is called Myocardial bridge.
Complications due to it are angina (chest pain) which occur when muscle of heart contract causing squeezing of the coronary artery. It won't cause any other complication. It does not cause Heart blocks.
Angiography has already been done which shows non significant coronary artery disease. Treatment is medical & does not require special drugs. Continue Fibator (drug for cholesterol). Ventricular ectopics are normal in a normal heart.
For Phthisis Bulbi you should consult a ophthalmologist for its complications & management.
