Brief Answer:
Traumatic ulcers caused by sharp points on the denture..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...

As per your complain it seems that there are some sharp points on the dentures which are causing injury to the mucosa leading to irritation and mucosa breaks into ulcers..
You should consult your dentist and get evaluated and in case if there are some sharp pointed areas on the tissue surface of denture get them trimmed and apply Oragel over the ulcers..
Do warm saline gargles and suck on ice pops..
If possible avoid wearing dentures for long duration till the ulcers heals..

In case if there are no sharp areas on denture the dentist will look for bony elevations on the jaw bone which can also cause ulcers when the denture rubs against the gums..
He will also evaluate for any left over root pieces which may be coming to the surface of gums..

In case of bony elevations Alveoloplasty that is trimming of bony elevations can be done..

On case of root pieces removal of the same will relieve..

A clinical checkup is needed in your case for resolution..

Till the time you get relief wear denture intermittently to prevent further irritation...

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
