Question: I asked a question a few days ago about some spots on my 5 year old. there are a few more spots now. We went to a clinic and were given an antibiotic. Any idea what this could be? Doctor said bug bites, but i am confused because she had some before the trip and more developed since.

Brief Answer:
Spots

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question and looked at the attached pictures.
It is difficult to say what these may have started as. the most likely diagnosis is that they started as bites. Currently, they do look like mild skin infections. This sounds worse than it is. What happens is the bites cause a breakage of the skin, like an abrasion would. Once the skin is broken, bacteria are able to get in and cause infection. Antibiotic treatment, like what was prescribed in this case, is completely appropriate and will cure it.
