What Causes Increase In PSA Levels?
Question: I had 9 years ago radical surgery, XXXXXXX 7. PSA rising, in October 2014, 0.17, and in February 2015 and April 2015, 0.43. Urologist ordered radiotherapy. Is it right order? What is the next step inf PSA will rise despite of radiotherapy?

welcome to HCM. You have had a radical prostatectomy at 43 years age.
At this stage, routinely, PSA is advised every 6/12.
A rise of PSA of more than 2 within 6 months is significant,and requires a thorough check-up.your PSA has remained stable in oct.'14 and normal in feb. and apr.2015 ,it's 0.43. These reports does not suggest, need for radiotherapy. Normal PSA is upto 4.
So you don't worry at all.
