Brief Answer: Sunblock needed Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. Freckles mostly happen on sun-exposed areas. Thus sun-block is needed. Sunscreen lotions can be tried of SPF greater than 40. You may try one of the following: neutrogena or lotus. You need to apply it every time you step out in sun. Apart from sunscreen, you need to wear clothes that cover your skin. Avoid mid-day sun. Stay in the shade. Medicines or medicinal creams are not very effective for freckles. Laser may be tried for the purpose after consultation with a dermatologist. Hope it helps. Dr Vaishalee
