default
Posted on Thu, 14 Apr 2016
Question: My Bother has fluid in his belly & now his penis is swollen and bent at the end of it.
He had 3.5 liters of fluid drained off his belly last Tuesday and the Dr. has not called him back with the results of testing the fluid.
Do you think he may need to go the the ER?
He is 64 years old & has a valve re-placement & is on oxygen.

Brief Answer:
Not at this time!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about what your brother is going through. If he’s breathing well and in no acute pain, there is no need to go to the ER at this time. Results from such testing often take a long time to be reported and this may be the reason why. I will suggest that you exercise some patience. Also, ask the doctor what the exact diagnosis so that I can understand why he’s getting this fluid collection. Also, are you able to carry on a discussion with him?

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
