Question: I feel a lump inside my throat when I swallow. It's past my gag reflex. It's been there for almost two days.

I think that you have caught cold and the resultant infection is causing the feeling of a lump in the throat. You need to gurgle with lukewarm water multiple times a day. You also need to take steam inhalation. Water in form of vapor will reach deep inside and will help in diluting the cough which has been responsible for the gag reflex.

You need not panic. Irrespective of treatment it will take 5-7 days to recover.
