What Causes Fatigue And Joint Pain?

default
Posted on Fri, 21 Apr 2017
Question: My mom is a nurse practitioner, she just started working in rhumetology. She wants me to get tests to determine whether I have a form of lupus. She says I exhibit a lot of the symptoms especially skin rashes, sun sensitivity and fatigue. I also have a family history of auto immune diseases. I'm 20 years old, healthy, never had any medical issues. I know I have levido reticularus, she thinks I also have the maylar 'butterfly' rash. I always had reddish skin though so I'm not so sure. I do blush deeply when hot, exposed to the sun or feeling emotional. I do not however have the extordinary joint pain that is associated with lupus. I have some joint pain but it is very mild. I guess my question is: is it possible to have lupus without the joint pain?

Brief Answer:
Is it lupus

Detailed Answer:
good evening

thank you for writing on health care magic

Well, lupus can't present in many forms. It can only involve the skin or the joints or can be aggressive as times..Yes 20% cases of lupus can present without joint pains, as maybe just have skin involvement. Worsening of rashes on sun exposure is common in a lot of people, so but livedo reticularis is something I had be more concerned off. I do feel you should get these tests done as well. Last make sure they do tests for antiphospholipid syndrome as well..

An for your mild joint pains it may be due to Vitamin d deficiency.. You can supplement that and it would improve.
