What Causes Dizziness, Fatigue And Irritation Post Intake Of Latuda?

default
Posted on Tue, 23 Aug 2016
Question: My husband increased his latuda from 40 mg to 80 mg late in the afternoon. Shortly after he started to feel very dizzy, very tired and irritable. He is still showing symptoms this morning just not as bad. This appears to me as effects of increase medicine. I wanted take him to ER room but he didn't want to. Will this get better in its own? Should he drop the dosage back or discontinue?

Brief Answer:
Go back to the previous dose

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Since he is improving in compare to last night I feel it will better to wait and watch rather than panicking. It is usual to develop these side effects immediately after increasing the dose of latuda. I do not think he need to go to emergency.

In case he does not improve further in my view it will be better to go down with lower dose (40 mg) and than increase gradually after discussing with your doctor.

I hope this helps you.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards.
