Question: My teenage granddaughter has moderate reynauds syndrome--cold hands feet, ets. Recently while exercising she has experienced new heart "booms", white lips, and reddened areas on her legs. What tests/conditions should be further tested or explored. What specialty area doctor should we see?

Brief Answer:
Needs work up and management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. History of raynaud phenomenon with heart palpitations ( boom) and white lips should be evaluated for cardiac and pulmonary causes. You can start from a physician and let them proceed accordingly. Work up for lungs and heart functions is advised to rule out possible cause of these palpitations and cyanosis episodes likely. Its too early to comment on any possibility, it could be mere anxiety and nothing else to worry about as sympathetic overactivity is very common in raynaud's.

Talk to a local physician and let them assess and help accordingly. Take good care of your granddaughter's and yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
