What Causes Bumps Under Penis And Around Base Of Penis?

default
Posted on Sat, 4 Oct 2014
Question: I have bumps under my penis and around the base. One doctor told me it was sweat bumps and another told me it was sebaceous cysts. I have no symptoms. They showed up last year. Thought it was in-grown hairs so i didn't pay no mind to it until this summer. Its only on the bottom of my penis, not the top. How much would surgery cost?

Brief Answer:
Hair follicles.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Bumps on the bottom of the penis, located in the skin, which do not give any symptoms at all are most likely hair follicles. Penis skin is very thin as there is no fatty tissue in it. So every structure of the skin is clearly visible. And so are hair follicle which can be described as a multiply, hard, painless and small (all are similar size). Some of this follicles will produce hair, others will just stay as they are right now.
So in my opinion you should not be worried as this is a very normal thing (I have seen the picture of it in your previous questions).

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
