Question: 25. female. ive noticed a black spot has appeared on the sole of my foot, I've only noticed it a month back. it feels slightly raised if raised at all. it is not asymetric but quite clearly outlined. I'm pretty sure it isn't a veruca or a mole. should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
This is a mole. It should be removed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

This is a mole for sure. And as it is on the foot sole, should be removed. Not because it is suspicious, but because it will be constantly irritated and it is hard to control it in this location.
I suggest you to consult dermatologist or general surgeon, have it removed and tested by a pathologist.
There is no need to be concerned. Its just a precaution.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

is it normal to get jet black moles?

Brief Answer:
Yes, it is normal.

Detailed Answer:
There is nothing unusual in that. The color depends of the pigment amount in the mole. But it does not make it serious or suspicious.
