Question: My 10 year old grandson has a very bad odor coming from his butt. He can wash and soon after he is smelling again. Please, need your help. This has been going on since he was 8 years.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. It seems that somehow the cleansing is not adequate. I would insist foe a swab to be taken from his butt for the purpose of culture and sensitivity. If a positive growth is seen, antibiotics need to be given as per the sensitivity profile. I think that should solve the problem.

In addition to this I would suggest taking curd or yogurt since it contains plenty of beneficial bacteria.
