Question: About once a month my stomach will swell,(bloating). This will happen within minutes and last for one to two days. This is the first time it happened twice in the same week.

Such symptons at your age (over 50) should be checked with possible large intestine tumor. You do have symptoms of partial bowels obstruction. It may appear from time to time. But after a while you may notice increased frequency of such episodes.
I suggest you to have colonoscopy done.
