What causes a painful fluid-filled cyst on the leg?

Posted on Thu, 3 Jan 2019
Question: There is a swollen fluidy sac like on the left side of my right leg. It is very painful; sometimes more sometimes less. Often the pain is very quick and very Painful. I tend to rub the sac like position of the leg to ease the pain. I haven't questioned the doctor to tell him of this condition. Due to my own and my spouses research, we keep coming up with the idea it may be gout. I know nothing about gout.

Brief Answer:
Infective lesion. guidelines require further inputs.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have evaluated your query thoroughly.

* This seems more likely to be an infection in some type of soft tissue lesion.

Kindly provide further details so that I can answer your query completely.

1. Fluid sac - duration, progress, appearance, overlying skin changes in terms of redness or others.
2. Fever if any.
3. Systemic disease or diabetes or others.
4. If possible, kindly provide a photo picture of the same in follow up session for better evaluation.

Till you answer this, intake of ibuprofen if no history of
drug allergy to the same.
