What Can I Do About Acne/pockets On My Face?

Question: What can I do about acne/pockets on my face.
I have never been to a dermatologist and as I get older, my skin looks
even worse. I have oily skin, so I don't like to apply much make-up.
What can I do about it. I keep my face clean and use a toner, and acne
products with flare ups. Still my face looks worse as I age, and I'm
self conscious about the deeper pore marks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand your concern. Deeper pores are sometimes difficult to treat with commercial creams and products. Skin creams containing benzoyl peroxide / isotretinoin are available with a prescription from a doctor. It can be used and may be effective for smaller pore marks.

Deep pores need interventions from a dermatologist. Chemical peelers using glycolic acid; microneedling; dermabrasion; and lasers are known to be more effective on deeper pores.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
