Brief Answer:
Need to be monitored until they grow further...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern. Babies born after 24 weeks are viable and can survive independently. However at this point, since they are low in weight and born preterm, they need to be kept under intensive care. This will allow them to grow further without risks of infections.

I am sure this would be the current plan of the doctors there. With adequate care, strict aseptic measures as well as nutritional support the boys should grow in the ICU until they can sustain independently.

You can discuss with the pediatricians if there are any other problems besides low birth weight.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
