Brief Answer:
There is nothing to be worried about .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Hemangioma or AV malformation are congenital anomalies of vascular architecture and not neoplastic in nature .The procedure of embolization stops blood flow through thee abnormal vessels resulting in to necrosis of tumor .However the possibility of new channel opening in future can not be ruled out .

Brief Answer:
It takes 20-30 minutes for procedure

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .
In Angio Embolization either a coil or small tiny piece of muscle is placed at the communication between the abnormal channel that communicates between a artery and a vessels that carries blood to tumor or bunch of vessels and thus cut off the blood going to a bunch of vessels or tumor leading to avascular necrosis of the tumor mass .

Thanks and Regards.

Ok thanks for the input.
I have asked more in detail with my brother and he said that :
"Doctor had told me there will be 2 types of procedure we will perform one is PVJ and other is coil he also said that (if necessary) glue will also be placed but that depend upon the condition i have." Also, please clarify me that as you said that it would be necrosis tumor mass then how could new channel get open? Like what i understand that tumor will be dead then what will it it trigger back to get open new channels? And doctor are keep saying that it is a temporary solution. What does they mean by that?

Answered by Dr. Dr. P. T. Patil (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
There are multiple channels in AV malformations

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
In AV malformation there are multiple communication between vessels and all the communications can not be embolizedThey normally block the major communicating channels This is the reason for new channels may develop after few years.

As regards details of technical aspects of procedure it will be intervention cardiologist who will elaborate you in details. If you are very curious to know about the procedure consult intervention cardiologist.

The necrosis of the Tumor occurs only in the part which is supplied by a particular vessel.

Hi Dr XXXXXXX

Sorry to bother you again and again but i am still confused, Can you please clarify me one thing that let say after blocking the vein which is going to that mass once we block that vein you are saying that mass will become dead and it will removed by it self from its place, thats fine, but what really confusing is as you mentioned earlier new channel may develop means once that mass is removed is there any chance that it will come again through a new channel ? I totally understand the procedure as you described, which is clear but the only thing i didn't understand is will that mass appear in future if the new channels develop in future ? i hope you can understand my what i am trying to ask you, and i hope you will give me the right briefing on this query according to my question.

Thank you
Dr XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Vascular tumor has multiple blood vessels supping arterial blood

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Vascular tumor has always multiple abnormal communicating channels and only major channels are embolized Some of the channels may become active and open up over a period of time and need repeat embolization.

I here by close discussion on this issue .Is you still have any query please consult the treating urologist/surgeon

Thanks and Regards
