Question: To be answered by Dr. Spaho. Hello, doctor. I asked my medical doctor for an R/X of what u recommended, the aripiprazole and he agreed. I haven't tried it as of yet. My question is this - I also have Neurontin, Lyrica, and Trilepal that were all prescribed by my neurologist. All of these meds are at the lowest dose available. I believe I was told not to take Neurontin concurrent with Lyrica since they are of the same class. Would the Trileptal and aripiprazole be safe to take in moderation together with either the Neurontin or the Lyrica? Thanks so much.
Brief Answer:
Trileptal and aripiprazole may be used with Neurontin or Lyrica.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I have read your new question and would explain it as follows.
Trileptal is also a drug that belongs to anticonvulsants/antineuralgics such as Neurontin and Lyrica.
However, it can be used safely with one of these drugs with precaution to the doses because of the possible increased sedation.
Aripiprazole also may be used safely with either, Neurontin and Lyrica.
So, these combinations are allowed and may result in better control of your symptoms.
Hope I helped you.
Feel free to ask if you have further questions.
Regards.
