Question: Thanks Dr Misra for your earlier reply to my questions in the thread https://www.healthcaremagic.com/AskDoctorInboxServlet?page=viewQuery&queryId=388728

You said that “The increase of foveal thickness is not primarily due to een thickening but can be some issue with fovea.ERM doesn't progress like this.”

I am worried that there are also other eye disease/issue. What could be the possible issues with fovea? Could you explain a bit.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Brief Answer:
ERM

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Such rapid increase in foveal thickness is not due to thickness of ERM.The thickness of ERM is in fraction of micro milimiters.Such increase in thickness can always be due to macular pucker or macular oedema or such underlying pathology. This indicates that you have to go ahead with surgery for ERM immediately as it is getting delayed already.
