Suggest Treatment For Watery Semen

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Sep 2017
Question: My husband ejaculated an extreme amount of fluid last time we had intercourse. It was enough to soak 2 square feet of the bed, through the sheet and down to the mattress. Also, it seemed more watery than usual: There was a little bit of milky color but not much, and did not have the usual semen smell. Should we be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Not to be concerned unless there are any symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your husband and understood the concerns.
It is practically impossible to have such a large quantity of semen as this is mainly the prostatic fluid and usual quantity is not more than 2 ml.
The most possible explanation is leakage of urine too at the time of ejaculation and might not have felt by him.
So no worry if there are no symptoms in either of you.

I hope this answers your query.

Thank you very much for your answer. One question for clarification: When you say "*this* is mainly the prostatic fluid," does "this" refer to semen in general, or the large emission in question?

Thank you for your help! Also a second question: What kinds of symptoms would be indicative of a bigger problem?

Thank you again for your time.

Brief Answer:
Yes, Semen in general.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, this means semen in general. Semen is a prostatic fluid and very small part is contributed by the fluid from seminal vesicles which store sperms.
No particular symptoms can be attributed.
But you may please mention any symptoms if he has.
