Question: Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...
I have been having stomach spasms along with this feeling of a knot or ball in the middle epigastric region. I feel fullness and throbbing in my abdomen. I am not a smoker , drinker , or drug user. I eat very well. I also will get palpitations too.

Brief Answer:
Please give additional information - reasons as mentioned.

Detailed Answer:

H,

The commonest cause of feeling a knot or ball in the middle epigastric region with spasmodic pain can be due to a problem with transverse colon, part of small intestine or stomach itself.
Even epigastric hernia on obstruction can give similar symptoms.
You need to get a clinical examination and relevant investigations to get an exact cause to get a specific treatment.
Palpitations may have other reasons related to the heart, anxiety or thyroid over-action that is thyrotoxicosis and needs a proper clinical evaluation, examination and relevant investigations to know the cause and get treated accordingly.

Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
Your age and gender please.
Since when is the problem present?
Any bloating, nausea, vomiting, loose or hard stool/constipation?
Any hernia like lump that increases in epigastric region and gets reduced?
Any other information please.
Awaiting for your feedback.

I am a 35yr old female. I feel bloating and I have been having a few bowls movements a day that increase when I feel the smasms. The throbbing in my epigastric region sometimes feels like it’s going to explode.

Hi,

The additional history you just provided indicate that you have colitis of some sort.
Please take antispasmodic to relieve spasms.
Take plenty of fluids orally if tolerated.
Consult your Doctor to get a clinical evaluation, examination and get preliminary tests of stool, blood and urine. Also to get prescription based medicines if needed.
