Question: I have a very sore swelling in my left inguinal area post car wreck. Swelling is about 3 inches long and no longer bruised (colored), but relay hurts. Is this a self resolving thing? Or do I need to make an appt to be seen.

Brief answer.....it should resolve of it's own gradually
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
In my opinion this swelling should resolve of it's own since it is no more coloured except slight pain. The swelling seems to be collection of some blood following the car accident.
In case swelling increases or becomes red and tender,( which would imply local infection is taking place )then you may need to consult the doctor for inspection, possible drainage and course of antibiotics.
Till then just do hot FOMENTATION twice a day and wait and watch.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
