Brief Answer:
May be an infected molar root in the sinus

Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you for writing to HCM.

The X ray image that you have shared is of a very low resolution, restricting me from examining the dentition below the sinus region. Would appreciate if you could share a larger or better quality image.

However from the brief description of your history it appears as though there may have been an infected upper molar tooth which may have its roots reaching up to the maxillary sinus and it is probably infected. This will require removal of the tooth along with the root and maybe the reason behind your referral to an oral pathologist rather than to an ENT specialist.

Your symptoms will improve once the tooth is removed or the infection is controlled. Do share more information to help me give you more specific guidance.

Hope this information helps. Do let me know if you have any further questions.
