Suggest Treatment For Severe Cystic Acne And Scars

Question: Hi, I have severe cystic acne which is going from bad to worse. It's leaving a lot of ugly scars too. Please tell me what I should do.

Currently I am sticking to using aloe vera gel at night. But it only reduces the redness, doesn't cure the acne itself. I use an exfoliant like St. Ives scrub to keep the dead skin cells away everyday. Not using medication because my skin reacts too badly to everything.

Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures .
You seem to have developed moderately severe acne along with post acne scars .
Since I can see many inflammatory skin lesions ,so you surely need some oral anti acne drugs like antibiotics or retinoids to decrease the appearance of inflammatory acne lesions .
Also for the scars ,something like chemical peels would be great .
You can start application of clindamycin gel over the acne lesions in morning along with tretinoin gel at night .
For the oral medicines ,you can see a nearby dermatologist and discuss regarding the available options after a complete examination of the affected area .
You can continue to use the salicylic acid based face wash twice daily .
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
