I hope you are familiar with the PTSD. if you search google, you will get numerous results and treatment methods concerned to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Just as a routine, let me explain minimally.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can develop following a traumatic event that threatens your safety or makes you feel helpless. 5 to 10 percent of people will suffer from PTSD at some point in their lives.

For most people, however, these symptoms are short-lived. They may last for several days or even weeks, but they gradually lift. In that case, the problem can be called "normal response to trauma".

If you search google you will find a list of symptoms associated with PTSD. The problem with psychiatric disorder symptom list given is, so many symptoms co exist with different psychiatric disorders. Differential diagnosis is a must for proper treatment and cure.

Therefore only an experienced psychologist / psychiatrist can identify the correct disorder with the help of the symptoms you provide as well as their independent analysis, case study, psychometric assessment and experience. I advise you to consult a psychiatrist or a facility / hospital which can offer services of psychiatrist and Clinical psychologist.

The US National Center for PTSD is dedicated to research and education on trauma and PTSD. Their website address is : http://www.ptsd.va.gov/. You can choose a location near your home and start treatment.

Of course, there are so many other facilities in the United States. But The US National Center for PTSD could be best for a XXXXXXX citizen like you.

I think, at the age of 81, you should work with a psychiatrist for a happy living.

God bless you.
