Suggest Treatment For Painful Red Lump Near Left Elbow

Question: My left elbow has a large lump it started out red and painful then formed a small lump, now two weeks later it is as big as a big golf ball. Hurts slit at night, above the lump and below it on my elbow

Yes, you obviously suffer from condition called elbow bursitis and it means that elbow bursa filled with fluids and it Inflammed. This is not serious but you should see doctor who will put needle and aspirate fluid out. Also you 'll need antibiotics and rest for 10 days. Bursitis happens when there is elbow irritation,hit or there is no obvious cause. Wish you good health. Regards

Thank you, that would be probably working hard on a very hilly yard covert with mulch so you don't have to mow that area and planting lots on the hills, had my elbows in the mulch a lot while planting! Now duck taping and mudding garage may of hit it a couple times felt like a funny bone hit though.

yes, this is definitely caused by this type of work. you should try to reduce manual activity for few days. till you see doctor, you can apply cold comoresses on it and take nonsteroid painkillers or local painkillers such as ibuprofen cream.
