Question: Hi Doc, I did an USG before 2 months and had found that there is a 7.4 mm gallstone and wall thickeness is 4.6 mm(PFA reports). not necessarily but sometimes feel itching pain or slight pain around abdomen region. while running also feel slight pain. felt some headache type or dizziness type sensation. please suggest me what should I do? I avoid spicey or fatty food now a days. what can be done to dissolve this without surgery coz I have heard after having surgery you can't eat any food you want for lifetime. there will be restrictions for you. you will feel diareahha, bloating and all other problems if you eat all that after gallbladder removal. please help out me.

Brief Answer:
Get properly evaluated by the Surgeon and go ahead with the surgery.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

No reports found here, so do try to reattach it.

All these symptoms can be seen as the focus of the pathology is already inside the gallbladder.

I'd request you not to take account of those hearsay things and simply go ahead with the surgery. There are some medicines but they aren't absolutely effective and duration also can be quite prolonged, moreover with advanced time the risk of developing infection can also be there which can only complicate the present scenario.

In the modern era, the medical science has been developed a lot and these surgeries are done very routinely and through key-hole only (laparoscopically). With timely intervention, the period of recovery, as well as risk of developing any complications, are barely minimal.

No, none of this is a serious problem and can be easily treated once diagnosed in time...So go ahead and get yourself checked up by the General Surgeon and proceed further.

Please let me know if there are further queries / doubts.

Brief Answer:
Follow-up consultation.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

No attachments found yet...However, as per your description, it's recommended to get the stone removed surgically. So, just get yourself checked up by the General Surgeon and proceed further.

Restrictions are applicable mostly after the initial few months of the surgery, i.e., avoiding spicy foods, fatty meals, excessive sweets, processed foods and red meat, caffeine, alcohol, cheese. Based on how you stay afterward, the surgeon will advise you accordingly. Don't worry.
