Question: Is there a syndrome where a depressed person manufactures reasons and/or symptoms to cease any treatments that have proved effectively to teat the depression?

No I don't think there are any such issues. There is no specific syndrome name. But in depressive patients lack of trust and not believing on treatment is normal thing. So proper treatment will reduce your symptoms.
