Brief Answer:
need special instruments, to remove.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Cotton, as a foreign body, can cause local reaction leading pus and ear drum infection. I would not recommend you trying removal. You may perforate the ear drum. It should be removed with special instruments under otoscopy. In this case, I will urge you to visit a doctor, an ENT surgeon perhaps and get this removed safely.

I will like to remind you not to attempt removing it by your self through blunt instruments. It can slip deep inside or worse damage the ear drum.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
