Question: I am taking Inderal and the last script I got was a small white capsule, I cannot find that description anywhere, not sure if it is the right medication?

I am taking Requip for Restless legs, 2mg I take 2 tablets am, 2 noon, 2 supper time, and 3 bedtime. My doctor told me yesterday he would not refill my script because I was taking to large a dose. I have been taking this amount for several months or more. He told me that it was a very dangerous amount. I have severe RLS and have had for most of my like.

Brief Answer:
Requip

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that your docotr is going to reduce the number of pills for your RLS. According to the package insert the maximum dosing for RLS is 4mg per day but for those people with Parkinsons the XXXXXXX dose is 24mg per day. So your doctor is saying that for RLS the higher dosing is not beneficial and maybe harmful. I think you should discuss this with your provider and make a case that the higher doses are helping and that lower dose is useless. Your provider may stay reduce your dose but perhaps they can find other options like mirapex or levadopa.

You were also asking about inderal and if you are taking the right medicine since it is now a capsule. If it is a white capsule it more than likely is the extended release 80mg. If the capsule has 80mg and 0085 on it then it is the 80mg extended release capsule. If you could write down the number or markings or take a photo of the capsule I maybe better able to identify the capsule for you.

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
