Question: My query to Dr XXXXXXX heijebu. Madam
I have holes, one in each ear! and yeah, not the ear drum; additional hole in ear fold. My question is whether I need to take any additional care about the extra holes, and what are the basic steps for taking care of my ears?

Brief Answer:
Condition is harmless.Avoid water logging during bath.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concern.

This can be a developmental/congenital defect.

Since the external ear is only affected in this condition, you need not worry much.

As the middle and external ear is healthy, the likelihood of infections of the ear is unlikely.

Maintain good hygiene of the ears.

Avoid wax formation.

To conclude, this condition is harmless and no issues are reported in the long term.No additional safety measures are required.

Routine hygiene is sufficient.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
