Question: I had forehead surgery 2 years ago. I am having problems constantly from pain to the touch to feeling like there is a band pressing on the hair line where the incision was made to tingling & itching. Is this normal? Can anything be done to alleviate the pain & pressure?

Brief Answer:
Lignocaine 1% LA Gel is the best treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

1. This is a normal issue post incision.
2. The best treatment for this is lignocaine 1% gel, applied to the area, causing
the discomfort.
3. Lignocaine will not go into your system, and is preferable to taking medication
for pain, that may cause interactions and side effects.
4. The pain and the pressure will vanish and dampen about 5 to 10 minutes after
application of the gel.

Thanks,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
