Brief Answer: XXXXXXX dose for 11y 4x40 mg, lower dosage than 180mg would be better

Detailed Answer:

Dear patient,

the recommended dose for children 2 to 12 years of age is 40 mg 4 times daily, so the recommended dose for 24 hours is 160 mg. So if you can split the tablet, give him only half a tablet (if you have capsules those are probably not splittable). Most likely the one-time intake of 180 mg will be ok and won't do harm since he is alread 11y old. If you or someone had the possibilty to get him a lower dosage of course that would be more ideal. If symptoms persist please see your local pediatrician.

Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards.
