Question: Hi Doctor

My son is 1 Year 4 Months old. From last three to Four months we are observing some rashes/acne observing on his skin. I don't know how to explain those are not exactly rashes/acnes, looks like water bubbles but not exactly same, that's why i have taken a picture and attached in this request for better understanding. He does not have pain or sprain for this.

Currently he has same one on forehead, one on elbow and one on his back. And also he is started getting one more on his forehead and one or two on lower lip.

Is this any allergy or any vitamin deficiency or any this else?

I tried to explain it my best, hope you understand. Let me know if you need more detail i can mention here.

Thanks...!!

Brief Answer:
No specific treatment is needed in most of the cases

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have seen the images. Mildly elevated shiny skin lesions which are scattered, asymptomatic and there are no signs of inflammation.
Most likely this is molluscum contagiosum a benign viral skin infection, common in this age group.
This skin condition does not need treatment in most of the cases and gets cleared itself within 2-6 months.

I won't get overly worried as this heals itself in almost all cases without any scars and there is no significant complication.
Sometimes it may get infected with bacteria if child scratches it.

If you are finding any rapid progression or any signs of bacterial infection like redness, pus formation or pain please consult your pediatrician immediately.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards
