Recently, I’ve Had Off And On Nagging Headaches For About

Question: Recently, I’ve had off and on nagging headaches for about a month and a half, as well as blood rushes when i stand up. I’ve also noticed that I appear to be a bit more tired towards the end of the day than usual. Awhile back I had a neurological exam for something unrelated, and the doctor said it was great. I’m still running, and working without much trouble. My question is: do you think it’s possible this could be something to worry about, like a tumor or something? My mom doesn’t think so, but I also tend to worry about most things. I haven’t yet had a majorly severe headache, but definitely noticeable.

Brief Answer:
There is no reason to think about tumors in your case.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your query.

In my opinion, since you were okay after the neurological examination, there is no reason to worry or to doubt any neurological disease including tumors.

Tumors of neural tissue origin in the majority of cases debut with marked neurological symptoms.

Blood rush after you stand up is a compensatory mechanism for a temporary decrease in blood pressure and has nothing to do with neurological diseases.

In conclusion, your headaches remain those experienced by the majority of people without an underlying cause.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

Even though my neurological exam was well before any of these headaches started? I do tend to have low blood pressure. But I didn’t think it was super low. I have to give blood once a year for high iron, so my pressure gets tested regularly. I would imagine these headaches would be more severe, but still I just tend to worry.

Answered below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

There are a number of conditions such as fatigue, stress, anxiety, etc. that may result in headaches.

So, probably you overthinking about these issues may exacerbate these headaches.

A normal neurological examination excludes serious neurological disorders.

Hope this helps.

Greetings.
