Brief Answer:
Very small amount of radiation exposure

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

The dose might vary slightly with the factors used in generating the xray, age, gender and body weight of the individual. In my opinion 2 views of a hip xray study can expose you to 1 to 2 mSv. What I mean is that keeping variables in mind, there is always a range of dose absorbed during xray exposure.

So, if your doctors have said you were exposed to 1 mSV then it is true because they are aware of the factors used during the exposure.

Please remember that 1 mSv is a very small dose of radiation and an average individual is exposed to 6.2 mSv of radiation in a year from their surroundings.
