Please Suggest Any Tips To Avoid Mosquito/ants Bite Scars And Also Any Other Ointment Or Gel ?

Question: Hi, My baby (aged about 16 months) legs are showing scars due to mosquito/ants bite.
We have realized it little late about the scars, but now we see a lot. Only on legs, no other places.
We usually put her with bed-sheets and many a times full pant and also make sure no mosquitoes, but still not sure how she gets bitten by them only on her legs - may be during day time.
From her childhood, her skin is so sensitive (i think usually children’s skin itself will be sensitive), but we feel her's is more, even a small bite in front of our eyes will lead to swell.

Dermadew Aloe cream -> satisfied with this, but the result is long
Atonide desonide gel -> only on affected area, but not sure we can continue to use it for scars as attached in the images

Please suggest, some tips to avoid these scars and also any other ointment or gel

Brief Answer:
Kindly upload images

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you.
I am Dr Kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern.
Perhaps the baby has Papular Urticaria which is a hypersensitivity reaction to insect bites.
I request you to kindly upload a few images of the affected areas in "Reports Section" so that I am able to have a look and guide you better.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Papular Urticaria

Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I would definitely keep a possibility of Papular Urticaria. The lesions look like insect bites and are usually distributed on legs and arms, face which are exposed. I suggest you to use fluticasone propionate 0.05%+Mupirocin 2% ointment (Flutibact ointment) on active lesions. Not on scars. Scars would gradually fade with time. Flutibact is a prescription ointment. In addition you may give 1/2 tsf (2.5ml) of cetrizine syp in evening. General measures to protect the baby from insects like full sleeve clothes and mosquito repellents etc should be followed.

Regards
