Question: My husband age 60, weight 165 , 5'8 inches, just almost passed outon me. His BP 86 over 43.pulse 72 he's diabetic. Blood sugar 143. I think hes dehydrated. I got him to drink 16 oz of water. Took it again with same results on Bp. I am waiting 15 min. to check it again. Is this low enough to be critical BP that I need to get him to ER?

Detailed Answer:
Hello

After reviewing the medical details provided by you I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that taking into consideration your husbands age and medical issues yes it’s highly advisable that you should personally take him to ER for for medical evaluation.

Low bp could be due to cardiac issues so basic cardiac evaluation is required in the form of echocardiography and ecg.

Kind Regards
