Question: Mild irritation and pain in eyes. Earlier i noticed that when i had cold, and blew my nose, there was some discharge from my left eye (clear and colourless) . Is it an infection? Would Azithromycin Oral help?

Thanks for the query.
It can be an early sign of conjunctivitis probably allergic conjunctivitis.
As of now there is no role for oral azithromycin.
As a first line management you can take over the counter available antihistamines like cetrezine or levocetrizine which will help to reduce allergic symptoms. Avoid rubbing of eyes.
If there is worsening of symptoms like redness or pus discharge,Antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drops may be required.
